Inclusive Home

The Jackson family’s home has been redesigned to better suit their unique requirements. Mr Jackson is in a wheelchair and Mrs Jackson has Parkinson's disease. To better cater for them, walkways have been widened, all doors made a minimum of 900mm and a ramp added in the bedroom. Ample resting places have been supplied for Mrs Jackson. A lowered cupboard space and bathroom vanity have been supplied for Mr Jackson. The kitchen counters and wall cabinets are height adjustable with a button. Walkways are uncluttered to prevent tripping. The bed is automatic and can lift Mr and Mrs Jackson into a seated position. All flooring is completely flush, with the 3mm pile height rugs secured into the floor with transition strips. The country design style employs woods, blues, and greens for a calming effect.
