The Skin Aesthetic Clinic is a new addition to the Hillcrest Medicross in KwaZulu-Natal. The clinic received a 6-star rating from the Green Building Council of South Africa. This was achieved through a sustainable design that utilised local, green-conscious manufacturers. Energy use has been minimised through smart design, energy efficient appliances and solar power.
The Jackson family’s home has been redesigned to better suit their unique requirements. Mr Jackson is in a wheelchair and Mrs Jackson has Parkinson's disease. To better cater for them, walkways have been widened, all doors made a minimum of 900mm and a ramp added in the bedroom. The country design style used employs woods, blues, and greens for a calming effect.
Paradigm is a microbrewery and restaurant that celebrates life and community. Based in Hazelwood, Pretoria, their quality craft beer is brewed and bottled on-site. The restaurant environment combines ancient Greek and modern styles to create a new paradigm where all are welcome and accepted. Their slogan, “Giving you the freedom to create your world”, is seen in every area of their brand from the beer bottle labels to the restaurant design.
